Party On with Color Hues

Color Hues has a fun combination of Lilac & Lime to challenge you.

My order from The Greetery arrived the other day and I couldn't wait to play with the new Hey Honeycomb Party Hat, using these colors.

I used Twisted Citron and Milled Lavender to add color to the hat.  The photo doesn't do justice to the colors, as the Twisted Citron has more of an olive-y look.  Trust me when I say, it really does look like lime green in real life.

I added flowers from the Hey Honeycomb Flower Power set.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
Color Hues Challenge ~ Lilac & Lime

Bloom Where You're Planted ~ Poppystamps Challenge

Hello crafty friends.  Poppystamps has a new challenge each month and this month is my turn to host.  The theme is "Bloom Where You're Planted".

I had the honor to invite a guest to play along.  It's my great pleasure to have as my guest designer, my dear friend Donna Phelan from Crafting By The Beach.  I do hope you'll join us over at Poppystamps Challenge to see some fun designs by teammates Marybeth and Lisa and my guest designer, Donna.  Thanks so much for joining us this month Donna!  Please visit Donna's blog and leave her some love.  This is a challenge you won't want to miss!

Pretty Florals ~ Double D Challenge

Hey there crafty friend!  I'm so glad you stopped in.  Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today and the theme is "Pretty Florals".
Now who doesn't have a ton of florals in their crafty arsenal??
My biggest dilemma for this challenge was deciding which floral set I was going to use.

I finally decided on the Rainboot Planter from Simon Says Stamp.  I had just a few sheets left from Carta Bella's Spring Market Collection that needed to be used up and the rainboots on the printed paper went perfectly with these wellies.

I cut the wellies from a piece of printed paper from the pack and then paper pieced the flowers, which I colored with Copic markers.  I laid the boots over a vellum overlay to soften the papers behind the boots.

Still trying to use up the last bits of paper, I made another card just like it.
The same but different.  ;0)

Please do pop on over to Double D Challenges for a look at what my talented team mates have been up to and join in on the fun!

Oceans of Joy ~ Double D Challenge

Hey there crafty friends!  It's time for a new challenge over at Double D Challenges.  This week the theme is anything "Water Related".

I had a bit of fun creating this see through window card using a scrap of acetate where the fish swim through.

I found this scrap of ink smooshed cardstock in my scrap bin, and thought it looked like water, so I went with it.

I cut through the center of the smooshed panel using a wavy die and added a strip of acetate and then attached the fish to the acetate.  I glued the cut out portion onto the inside of the card so that it would show through the acetate.

A little twine and a sentiment to celebrate someone's special day.

Here's the inspiration:

And here's the prize you could win when you play along:

You'll find lots more inspiration over at Double D Challenges and then join in on the fun with a card or two.  We'd love to see you in the gallery!
